The shallow of a Spring Michigan wood,
Shows an old, brittle flowering tree;
Grown fallow and loss still little understood.

Devoid of nourishment, limbs fall by their weight,
The blooms are thinning but sprite;
Annoyed by internment of it's venerable state.

Chosen in the semifinal of brief parental life.
As physical beauty ends by your rite. Father's
Emotion lost in nature's duty dear sentimental wife.

Mother tree, you lifted the season's first flowers wing,
Creating inspirations for poems.
Mother tree, your love gifted reasons for early Spring showers
Translating to all our homes.
